    Summary

    Percutaneous gallbladder procedures, including drainage and stone removal, were successfully performed in 24 patients. These minimally invasive techniques offer effective gallbladder treatment with minimal complications.

    Background:

    • Gallbladder diseases require effective treatment options.
    • Minimally invasive procedures are increasingly preferred for gallbladder interventions.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To report the experience and outcomes of percutaneous gallbladder procedures.
    • To evaluate the safety and efficacy of various gallbladder interventions.

    Main Methods:

    • 24 patients underwent percutaneous gallbladder procedures under imaging guidance (ultrasound, CT, fluoroscopy).
    • Procedures included biopsy, cholecystography, bile aspiration, gallstone dissolution/removal, cholecystostomy, and abscess drainage.

    Main Results:

    • All 24 procedures were technically successful.

  • Indications for cholecystostomy (11 patients) included hydrops, empyema, gallstone dissolution, mechanical removal, and malignant obstruction.
  • One case of cholecystitis and four episodes of vagal hypotension were the only complications; no bile peritonitis occurred.
