Abstract:
Occurrence of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) in the white and brown adipose tissues was examined in the rats using the immunofluorescence method. VIPergic innervation was observed in the jejunum, while it was not observed in the adipose tissues. The similar findings were obtained in the cold-acclimated and heat-acclimated animals.
