Abnormal Lower Extremity Hemodynamics at Doppler US in Children with Sickle Cell Anemia

Children with sickle cell anemia (SCA) show abnormal blood flow in lower limb arteries, but no signs of occlusive disease. This finding may help develop new interventions for leg ulcers in pediatric SCA patients.

- Findings suggest a basis for abnormal vascular function contributing to leg ulceration in pediatric SCA.
