    Summary

    A cutaneous Cryptococcus neoformans infection in mice shows limited local yeast multiplication and delayed systemic spread. Vaccination with a live lesion offers partial protection against subsequent subcutaneous challenge, but not intravenous challenge.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the course of a subcutaneous Cryptococcus neoformans infection in mice.
