Correlation of Cardiovascular Risk Parameters with Serum IL.6 and C-RP in Myocardial Infarction

Serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were elevated in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients. However, these inflammatory markers did not correlate with key cardiovascular risk parameters in the study group.

- Despite elevated levels, IL-6 and hs-CRP did not demonstrate significant correlations with common biochemical cardiovascular risk parameters in this AMI cohort.
- Further research is warranted to elucidate the precise role of IL-6 and hs-CRP in AMI pathogenesis.
