[Treatment of peritonitis]

Different forms of peritonitis were observed in 209 patients. Generalized results of treatment have shown positive effects of the complex treatment including preoperative management, timely radical operation aimed at liquidation of the source of peritonitis, lavage of the abdominal cavity and adequate drainage and finally, intensive therapy in the postoperative period. Lethality in generalized peritonitis was 11.1%.
