Osteoarthritis (OA) may cause Parkinson's disease (PD), but does not appear to cause Alzheimer's disease (AD) or ischemic stroke (IS). This Mendelian randomization study clarifies the causal link between OA and central nervous system disorders.

  • The findings suggest that OA does not have a causal effect on Alzheimer's disease or ischemic stroke, highlighting specific neurological links.
