The definition of value-based procurement (VBP) for medical devices lacks clarity despite varying perspectives on value.
Existing literature presents diverse understandings and definitions of VBP in the medical device sector.

Literature search conducted across major databases (PUBMED, ProQuest, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct) from 2004-2020.

Twenty-four documents met the eligibility criteria for the review.
