Summary

This study introduces gold nanoshells (AuNSs) as brighter, larger alternatives to gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) for enhanced sensitivity in lateral flow immunoassays (LFAs). The new AuNS-based LFA significantly improves thyroid-stimulating hormone detection for disease diagnosis.
