Summary

This study identified novel lipid signatures, specifically lower levels of monohexosylceramides (HexCer) and lysophosphatidylcholines (LPC), associated with persistent multisite musculoskeletal pain (MSMP). These findings suggest a role for lipid metabolism in the development of chronic pain conditions.
