CYP1A2 mRNA Expression Rather than Genetic Variants Indicate Hepatic CYP1A2 Activity

Genetic variations in CYP1A2 (cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily A member 2) do not reliably predict enzyme activity. Leukocyte mRNA expression is a better indicator of a patient's CYP1A2-metabolizing capacity.
