This case study shows homeopathy may help syringomyelia (SM) with Chiari malformation. A patient experienced symptom improvement and syrinx resolution after eight years of homeopathic treatment.

Background:

Syringomyelia (SM) with Chiari malformation is a rare condition with unpredictable progression.
Standard treatments often require re-operation in over 50% of patients.
Spontaneous resolution of SM is rare, frequently leading to significant complications.

Observation:

A 54-year-old Russian woman with SM and Arnold-Chiari malformation type 1 was treated with individualized classical homeopathy.
Treatment duration exceeded eight years, during which remarkable clinical improvement was observed.
Comorbidities also showed improvement alongside the primary condition.

Findings:

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) confirmed complete resolution of the syrinx.
The patient experienced significant improvement in clinical signs and symptoms.
