    Background:

    • Glomerular fixation of anti-GBM antibody is linked to complement activation, neutrophil infiltration, and kidney injury, leading to proteinuria and altered hemodynamics.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the direct impact of anti-GBM antibody on glomerular permselectivity using an isolated perfused kidney (IPK) model.
    • To determine if anti-GBM antibody can induce proteinuria and alter the glomerular filtration barrier in the absence of complement activation and neutrophil infiltration.
