Beliefs and Characteristics Associated With Believing Nicotine Causes Cancer: A Descriptive Analysis to Inform

Many smokers mistakenly believe nicotine causes cancer, a misperception more common in certain demographics. Corrective messaging is needed to accurately inform smokers about nicotine and tobacco product risks.

- Targeted messaging is essential to correct this misconception and improve accurate understanding of relative product risks, ensuring equitable dissemination to at-risk groups.
