    Summary

    Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) did not significantly reduce postoperative pain severity after appendicectomy compared to placebo. The study suggests TENS offers minimal benefit beyond the placebo effect for managing appendicectomy pain.

    Background:
