Summary

This study demonstrates recycling agricultural waste, spent mushroom substrate (SMS), to recover zinc from industrial electric-arc furnace dust (EAFD). SMS effectively replaces coke as a reducing agent, achieving high zinc recovery and reducing process temperatures.
