    Summary

    Ketotifen, an asthma medication, was studied for its effect on airways hyperreactivity in young atopic patients. Prolonged use of ketotifen (12 weeks) did not significantly alter the bronchus threshold, indicating no anticholinergic effects.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of prolonged oral ketotifen administration on the aspecific bronchus threshold in young atopic patients with proven airways hyperreactivity.
