Abstract:
A case of a 54-year-old woman with hydatidiform mole is presented. Preoperatively the enlarged uterus was mistaken for a fibroid. Diagnostic considerations and therapy of trophoblastic disease in perimenopausal women are discussed, as well as pitfalls in diagnosis.
