Abstract:
Social rehabilitation and social support for elderly people with dementia are ones of urgent problems of contemporary science and practice. The advancement of digital technology is making it possible to significantly improve the quality of life for people with dementia. The purpose of the work was to identify possible barriers and prospects for introducing digital technologies into the everyday life of older people. The results of the study, including the analysis of expert interviews, suggest that the key problems are associated not only and not so much with limited public funding, but with insufficiently effective intersectoral interaction, the lack of an enabling environment for the development of social entrepreneurship and private business associated with social digital projects, as well as the reluctance of a significant part of the population to actively accept older people with dementia.
