We calculated the five-point amplitude for super-Yang-Mills theory on AdS5×S3. Its structure simplifies, mirroring flat-space gluon amplitudes in superconformal field theory.
Area of Science:
- High-energy theoretical physics
- String theory and quantum gravity
- Conformal field theory
Background:
- Super-Yang-Mills theory on AdS5×S3 is a key model in AdS/CFT correspondence.
- Understanding amplitudes in these theories is crucial for testing dualities.
Purpose of the Study:
- To compute the tree-level five-point amplitude of the lowest Kaluza-Klein mode.
- To analyze the color and kinematical structure of this amplitude.
Main Methods:
- Perturbative calculation of scattering amplitudes.
- Utilizing the AdS/CFT correspondence to relate gauge theory amplitudes to correlators.
Main Results:
- The five-point amplitude was successfully computed at tree-level.
- The amplitude exhibits a simple color and kinematical structure.
Conclusions:
- The computed amplitude's structure resembles that of flat-space gluon amplitudes.
- This finding supports the holographic principle and provides insights into N=2 superconformal field theories.
