Summary

Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) can rarely cause constrictive pericarditis, restricting heart motion. Surgical removal of ePTFE and scar tissue improved hemodynamics in a rare case, highlighting careful patient selection for pericardial substitutes.
