Summary

Interpreting effusion fluids is challenging due to overlapping cell appearances. Immunocytochemistry on formalin-fixed cell blocks, using a specific immunopanel and subtractive coordinate immunoreactivity pattern (SCIP) approach, aids accurate diagnosis.
