    Catheterization techniques offer a safer, more efficient, and less expensive approach for evaluating and treating interstitial fallopian tube obstruction (IFTO). This minimally invasive method successfully restored tubal patency in infertile women.

    Background:

    • Interstitial fallopian tube obstruction (IFTO) is a cause of infertility.
    • Surgical evaluation and treatment are traditionally recommended for IFTO.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of catheterization techniques for diagnosing and treating interstitial fallopian tube obstruction (IFTO).
    • To present an alternative to traditional surgical methods for IFTO.

    Main Methods:

    • Seven infertile women with suspected IFTO underwent catheterization procedures.
    • Techniques included selective salpingography with ostial injection and direct intratubal salpingography.
    • Fallopian tube recanalization was performed using guide wires and catheters for confirmed IFTO.
