Cryptic Diversity in Paramecium multimicronucleatum Revealed with a Polyphasic Approach

Two new Paramecium species, Paramecium lynni and Paramecium fokini, were identified using molecular and morphological data. Paramecium fokini is a cryptic species, distinguishable from Paramecium multimicronucleatum only by molecular methods.
