Methamphetamine (METH) abuse causes thoracic aortic aneurysm/dissection (TAAD) by increasing matrix metalloproteinases and smooth muscle cell apoptosis. CCAAT-enhancer binding protein β (C/EBPβ) is a key mediator in METH-induced TAAD, offering potential diagnostic and therapeutic targets.
