Summary

This study aimed to create accurate blood test reference ranges for healthy Saudi adults. Researchers collected data from 637 individuals in the central region of Saudi Arabia. They compared these values with international standards and found significant differences. The study showed that using global reference ranges may not be suitable for the local population. The authors suggest that region-specific norms improve diagnostic accuracy. They also highlighted the need for larger studies to refine these findings further. The results support the development of national hematological standards for Saudi Arabia.
