Summary

Soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1) is a potential biomarker for chikungunya virus (CHIKV) induced joint pain. Elevated sVCAM-1 levels were observed in CHIKV patients experiencing joint pain compared to those without pain.
