1Susan B. Hassmiller is the senior adviser for nursing at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the director of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. She served as the senior scholar-in-residence and senior adviser to the president on nursing at the National Academy of Medicine from January 2019 through August 2021, where she was a key member of the leadership team for the report, The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity.
