Background:

Achieving a well-defined abdomen is not always possible through diet and exercise alone.
Abdominal skin laxity and subcutaneous tissue can obscure underlying muscle definition.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of medium definition liposuction combined with abdominoplasty.
To assess the aesthetic outcomes and complication rates of this combined procedure.

Main Methods:

A retrospective study of 351 patients undergoing medium definition liposuction and abdominoplasty by a single surgeon over 36 months.
Objective aesthetic outcome assessment using the Strasser Scale based on digital photographs evaluated by independent surgeons 12 months post-operation.

Main Results:

93% of patients achieved good to excellent results according to the Strasser Scale.
The overall complication rate was 4.8%, with only 0.8% experiencing poor results.
