Abstract:
Neuropeptide Y (NPY), a hexatriacontapeptide amide, was synthesized on benzhydrylamine resin. The peptide product obtained by HF treatment contained 63% of the target peptide, NPY. A comparison of the chemical, immunochemical and biological properties of the synthetic peptide with natural NPY indicated that they were identical.
