Small Intestinal Perforation Caused by Enteric-coated Low-dose Aspirin

Enteric-coated low-dose aspirin (LDA) may cause small intestinal perforation, especially in patients with severe atherosclerosis taking proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Discontinuing LDA resolved recurrent perforations in a unique case study.
