Background:

Value-based healthcare is a global paradigm, yet Value-Based Digital Health (VBDH) remains nascent.
VBDH leverages digital tools to enhance healthcare value, driven by technological, cultural, and organizational shifts.
Assessing organizational VBDH maturity is critical for strategic VBDH implementation.

Purpose of the Study:

To validate a questionnaire for measuring the organizational maturity of Value-Based Digital Health (VBDH).
To assess VBDH maturity from the perspective of managers in Spanish healthcare organizations.

Main Methods:

A questionnaire was developed to measure VBDH maturity.
The study involved 146 managers from Spanish healthcare organizations.
Factor analysis was employed to identify dimensions of VBDH maturity.

Main Results:

The questionnaire demonstrated good internal consistency and validity.
Factor analysis identified seven key dimensions of VBDH maturity: Resources/financing, patient/worker engagement, professional training, innovation, information quality, leadership/strategy, and VBDH knowledge/access.
The validated questionnaire is suitable for routine assessment of VBDH organizational maturity.

Conclusions:

The validated questionnaire is a reliable instrument for assessing VBDH organizational maturity.
This tool can guide strategic actions for VBDH transformation in healthcare organizations.
