Background:

Clinical practice guidelines for Huntington's disease (HD) physiotherapy are available.
Implementation requires understanding therapist facilitators and barriers.
The European Huntington's Disease Network supports evidence-based physiotherapy.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore facilitators and barriers to implementing recent physiotherapy clinical recommendations for Huntington's disease (HD).

Main Methods:

Global online survey distributed via HD networks.
Collected demographic data and agreement on facilitators/barriers for guideline recommendations.
Consensus defined as ≥70% agreement.

Main Results:

32 physiotherapists responded.
Facilitators: colleague support (81-91%), individualized plans (72-88%), therapist expertise (81-91%).
Barriers: behavioral (72-81%) and cognitive impairments (75-81%), low motivation (72-78%) in HD patients.

Conclusions:

Physiotherapist expertise and colleague support facilitate individualized plans.
Further strategies needed to manage cognitive/behavioral barriers in HD for treatment implementation.
