[Individual therapy of breast cancer]

2 remarkable trends in the treatment of breast cancer are to be observed: The increasing use of breast preserving procedures and the recognition of quality of life of the breast cancer patient. The decision about treatment regime depends both on the stage of the breast cancer and on the wishes of the patient and therefore it is individualized. The management shall be performed by the principles of "informed consent".
