Changes in effective optical zone after small-incision lenticule extraction in high myopia

Four methods for determining the effective optical zone (EOZ) after small-incision lenticule extraction surgery in high myopia eyes all showed reduced EOZs compared to the planned optical zone (POZ). Vertex-based (EOZV) and pupil-based (EOZP) methods were closest to POZ.

- Differences in EOZs did not show significant correlations with eccentricity, ablation degree, or corneal aberrations.
