Summary

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the physiological and perceptual responses of healthy individuals aged 10-30 years when playing a cycling exergame alone versus with others.

Main Methods:

  • A randomized crossover study design was employed.
  • Participants completed both single-player and multiplayer exergaming sessions.
  • Key outcomes measured included oxygen uptake (V°O2), heart rate (HR), and perceived enjoyment, pleasure, and exertion.
