Limited data exists on family function among Chinese clinical nurses.

Purpose of the Study:

Evaluate family function in Chinese clinical nurses.
Identify factors predicting family function.

Main Methods:

Multi-center, cross-sectional online survey.
Utilized Chinese Family Function Scale.
Employed Spearman's rank correlation, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis H tests, and categorical regression for analysis.

Main Results:

19,422 nurses participated.
Key predictors of family function include education, hospital level, shift work, department, number of children, and income.
Number of children (49.1%) and income (20.7%) were most influential.

Conclusions:

Family function is linked to multiple demographic and professional factors.
Recommendations include improving childcare services, increasing income, and enhancing career development systems.
Strategies to improve nurses' work-life balance are essential for enhancing care quality.
