Summary

We developed two web applications, scdefg and wormcells-viz, for analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing data. These tools facilitate differential gene expression and visualization for the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans.

Area of Science:

  • Computational Biology
  • Bioinformatics
  • Genomics

Background:

  • Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) generates complex datasets.
  • Interactive tools are needed for common scRNA-seq data analysis tasks.
  • Standardized analysis pipelines improve reproducibility.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To present two user-friendly web applications for scRNA-seq data analysis.
  • To provide interactive tools for differential gene expression and data visualization.
  • To deploy these tools using public Caenorhabditis elegans datasets.

Main Methods:

  • Development of two distinct web applications: scdefg for differential expression analysis and wormcells-viz for gene expression visualization.
  • Deployment of these applications using curated single-cell RNA sequencing datasets from Caenorhabditis elegans.
