Background:

  • Virtual Reality (VR) presents a novel platform for immersive and interactive interventions.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the acceptance and tolerance of a VR-based cognitive training program.
  • To assess the feasibility of implementing VR for cognitive enhancement in Chinese older adults.

Main Methods:

  • A VR program with five cognitive training games was developed.
  • Fourteen Chinese older adults participated in the training.
  • Tolerance was measured using the Simulated Sickness Questionnaire (SSQ), and acceptance was assessed through post-training surveys.

Main Results:

  • The VR program was well-tolerated, with a mean SSQ score of 10.42±12.97.
  • High acceptance rates were observed: 97.6% found VR equipment easy to use, 76.2% reported a positive experience, and 57.1% found VR devices attractive.

Conclusions:
