Primary hyperparathyroidism: Correlation between cervical ultrasound and MIBI scan

Technetium-99m-MIBI-SPECT is more accurate than ultrasound for locating parathyroid adenomas in primary hyperparathyroidism. Combining both imaging techniques improves preoperative diagnosis for parathyroidectomy.

- Combining TC-99m-MIBI-SPECT with cervical US provides reliable preoperative localization for parathyroidectomy in PHP.
