A rare pedunculated hepatic hemangioma, a benign liver tumor, was diagnosed in a 58-year-old female. Surgical removal prevented potential complications like volvulus.

Background:

Hepatic hemangiomas are common benign liver tumors.
While typically intrahepatic, rare cases can present as pedunculated masses outside the main liver capsule.

Observation:

A 58-year-old female presented with chronic abdominal pain.
Ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT) revealed an incidental pedunculated mass originating from the liver edge.

Findings:

Dynamic contrast-enhanced CT and MR imaging confirmed the typical radiological features of a hepatic hemangioma.
Pathological analysis post-surgical removal confirmed a benign pedunculated hepatic hemangioma.

Implications:

This case highlights the rare presentation of pedunculated hepatic hemangiomas.
Surgical intervention is recommended to prevent complications such as pedicle volvulus.
Accurate diagnosis relies on advanced imaging techniques like contrast-enhanced CT and MRI.
