Pseudophakic choroidal detachment with cyclodialysis cyst.
Summary
Spontaneous ciliochoroidal detachment can occur after cataract surgery. Prompt treatment of associated cyclodialysis clefts led to excellent vision recovery in these pseudophakic patients.
Area of Science:
- Ophthalmology
- Surgical Complications
- Retinal Detachment
Background:
- Ciliochoroidal detachment is a rare complication following ocular surgery.
- Extracapsular cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation can predispose to this condition.
