Increased Insulin Resistance in Hepatitis-C Infection-Association with Altered Hepatic Function Testing

Hepatitis C infection increases the risk of insulin resistance, a precursor to type 2 diabetes. This study found higher insulin and ferritin levels in Hepatitis C patients, correlating with metabolic changes and liver fibrosis.
