Problems encountered with the ratchet lock of the Mathieu needle holder

It is necessary to modify the Mathieu needle holder by reversing the arms of the ratchet so that it will become better suited for right hand use than the present design. Such an improvement would decrease the possibility of the ratchet pinching gloves and causing tears during operative procedures.
