- A 62-year-old male presented with stroke symptoms, initially suspected as posterior circulation stroke.
- Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an acute infarct and identified several vascular anomalies, including a hyperplastic left anterior choroidal artery.
Findings:
- Magnetic resonance angiography detected a hyperplastic left anterior choroidal artery, alongside other intracranial vascular variations.
- Digital subtraction angiography confirmed significant left internal carotid artery narrowing, prompting a carotid stenting recommendation.
