Curbing antimicrobial resistance in post-COVID Africa: Challenges, actions and recommendations

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Africa, increasing antibiotic use. Post-COVID-19 strategies must address health system challenges and strengthen antimicrobial stewardship and surveillance to curb AMR.
