In Stage I, 31% of radiographs were inadequate due to issues with prosthesis visibility, cement, or anatomy.
Following the quality improvement intervention in Stage II, radiograph adequacy increased to 84%.

Conclusions:

Establishing clear criteria for postoperative hip and knee radiographs significantly improves their adequacy.
This quality improvement initiative can prevent repeat imaging and ensure reliable interpretation of arthroplasty radiographs.
