Abstract:
Osteosynthesis with crossed Kirschner-wires is a common method for fracture stabilization. With wires of 0.8, 0.6, 0.5 and 0.4 mm thickness, small avulsion fractures of tendons in the digits are reduced and fixed anatomically. In cases of ideal closed reduction, percutaneous insertion of the wires is possible.
