Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the effects of vitamin E and/or selenium on blood iron and copper levels in broilers.
  • To investigate the influence on liver antioxidant status, lipid peroxidation, and related gene expression.

  • Broilers were divided into four dietary groups: control, vitamin E, selenium, and combined vitamin E and selenium.
  • Key blood, liver tissue, and gene expression parameters were analyzed.

  • Combined vitamin E and selenium significantly increased serum iron and copper levels.
  • Supplementation enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver tissue.
