Novel biodegradable antibacterial food packaging membranes were developed using silver-modified carboxymethyl chitosan (Ag-CMCS) blended with polylactic acid (PLA) and polybutylene adipate-co-terephthalate (PBAT). These eco-friendly membranes effectively inhibit bacterial growth, offering a sustainable solution for food safety and reduced environmental impact.
